For those who might know, the Doomsday-verse AU wasn't meant to be a direct, 100% faithful adaptation of the 1983: Doomsday source material. Due to the Wiki-style nature of said source material and the differences present (tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php…), a better way to put it would be to call the AU a "Broad Strokes" version.
And a more recent example seems to be the source material page for Partium (althistory.wikia.com/index.php…). Apparently, new edits on the page from August 2012 included references to a recently added "Second Yugoslav War" (althistory.wikia.com/wiki/Seco…) that had the Survivor-Nation dragged in by Transylvania into a war with Serbia...which ended up with Partium getting surprisingly larger (images.wikia.com/althistory/im…) than when it was when the Doomsday-verse more or less started off (images.wikia.com/althistory/im…).
Aside from the implication that Serbia was effectively killed off in the source material as well, it did come as a bit of a surprise. Then again, since it's a Wiki, that was bound to happen. So what am I getting at with all this? Long story short, you could consider the Doomsday-verse a broad strokes if not an "alternate" version of 1983: Doomsday.
Hope that clarifies a few things.
EDIT/EXTENSION: In light of what was just mentioned above, is anyone also interested in seeing an interaction between the Doomsday-verse and an AU that follows 1983: Doomsday exactly?
Please feel free to chime in your thoughts!

Rejected Music for the Doomsday-verse AU
It's been a while since there's been an update to the group. But as things slowly though surely get updated, here's something in the meantime: after looking into some of the older blog posts ( namely these; http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Idea-Character-AU-Music-CD-Redux-326766967 ; http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Possible-Ideas-Character-CD-289759900 ), it has to be said that there are quite a number of would-be-songs for the Doomsday-verse that for one reason or another just didn't make the cut. So here are some of them.

Game Idea Redux/First Group Journal Post for 2013
It's been quite a while since there's been a blog post here, even with the updates. And for something to help spark up this group for 2013, perhaps it's time to bring up that old fangame idea from months back (http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Possible-Doomsday-verse-Fangame-Idea-335148582).
Long story short, it's on making a RPG or visual novel based on the AU. The #Hetalia-Videogames (https://www.deviantart.com/hetalia-videogames) group in particular would make for a particularly good spot to help promote the idea. But still, is anyone up for it? :)
UPDATE: After getting back, perhaps now's as good a time as any to start things up a bit on thinking about that game
Possible Doomsday-verse Fangame Idea?
This is more of a follow-up from this earlier post: http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/On-the-First-Anniversary-of-the-Doomsday-verse-332531416
But is anyone particularly interested in what the Doomsday-verse would be like as a fan game? Granted, I have no illusions that it's going to ever reach Heta Oni levels...but would it be worth a shot?
Right now, I could imagine it being an RPG or visual novel focusing on certain time periods, arcs or characters and letting the players direct how the story plays out through the choices they make. Guess the idea there is to make their own take on the AU as lighthearted or dark as they
On the First Anniversary of the Doomsday-verse.
I just realized: has it already been a year (give or take) since the Doomsday-verse started? In all honesty, it's surprising how it managed to get from a single fanfic to this!
Perhaps a more proper and fitting theme would have to be done pretty soon, but it would be a nice idea to know suggestions on how to work this out. After all, you're very much welcome to play a part in this. So feel free to fire away! :)
*EDIT/ADDITION* After going through a bit of #Hetalia-Videogames (https://www.deviantart.com/hetalia-videogames) , what would the odds of making a fan game be like? Or would a Visual Novel or RPG-style game be fitting? What are your thoughts on this? ^^
