When it comes to the Doomsday-verse, it got me thinking: what would the Character CDs for that look like and what sort of tracks would be used for music? Granted, music as we know it more or less froze in that AU's 1983 and that the songs that might have become popular may sound (depending on the setting) either retro, tribal, post-apocalyptic or 1980s-esque at best.
Still, please feel free to leave your thoughts and ideas on this.

Rejected Music for the Doomsday-verse AU
It's been a while since there's been an update to the group. But as things slowly though surely get updated, here's something in the meantime: after looking into some of the older blog posts ( namely these; http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Idea-Character-AU-Music-CD-Redux-326766967 ; http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Possible-Ideas-Character-CD-289759900 ), it has to be said that there are quite a number of would-be-songs for the Doomsday-verse that for one reason or another just didn't make the cut. So here are some of them.

Game Idea Redux/First Group Journal Post for 2013
It's been quite a while since there's been a blog post here, even with the updates. And for something to help spark up this group for 2013, perhaps it's time to bring up that old fangame idea from months back (http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/Possible-Doomsday-verse-Fangame-Idea-335148582).
Long story short, it's on making a RPG or visual novel based on the AU. The #Hetalia-Videogames (https://www.deviantart.com/hetalia-videogames) group in particular would make for a particularly good spot to help promote the idea. But still, is anyone up for it? :)
UPDATE: After getting back, perhaps now's as good a time as any to start things up a bit on thinking about that game
Some growing differences in the Doomsday-verse
For those who might know, the Doomsday-verse AU wasn't meant to be a direct, 100% faithful adaptation of the 1983: Doomsday source material. Due to the Wiki-style nature of said source material and the differences present (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Trivia/NineteenEightyThreeDoomsdayStories), a better way to put it would be to call the AU a "Broad Strokes" version.
And a more recent example seems to be the source material page for Partium (http://althistory.wikia.com/index.php?title=Partium_%281983%3A_Doomsday%29&diff=588967&oldid=429801). Apparently, new edits on the page from August 2012 included references to a recently added "
Possible Doomsday-verse Fangame Idea?
This is more of a follow-up from this earlier post: http://1983-doomsdaystories.deviantart.com/journal/On-the-First-Anniversary-of-the-Doomsday-verse-332531416
But is anyone particularly interested in what the Doomsday-verse would be like as a fan game? Granted, I have no illusions that it's going to ever reach Heta Oni levels...but would it be worth a shot?
Right now, I could imagine it being an RPG or visual novel focusing on certain time periods, arcs or characters and letting the players direct how the story plays out through the choices they make. Guess the idea there is to make their own take on the AU as lighthearted or dark as they

Well, the cover images would refference how broken the world has become. The typical image of America for example, would be faded and look like it was on a billboard that went through a tornado or three, with maybe the successor state (Survivor-USA) and/or the survivor states (Republic of East Tennesse, KY Commonwealth, Socialist Siberia, etc.) in front of it. And for Austria, it would have him looking dignified despite the dirt on his face and his torn clothes, maybe standing in an irradiated wasteland.
Character CD covers for the survivor states I saw would make them look badass, because they'd have to be to survive (Virginia might incorporate Fascist Germany/Italy imagery because... well, Survivor VA walks, looks and quacks like that particular duck).
